What happened the day he proposed? How did he do it?
December 1, 2017 happened to be one of the weekends Melissa and Adam spent together after being apart for a few weeks. Pismo Beach is one of their favorite places for a weekend getaway. They had arrived at the hotel around sunset and as they walked into their hotel room, the sunset was shining through the balcony. As they walked out onto the balcony, Adam got down on one knee overlooking the sunset and asked Melissa to marry him and tears of joy started flowing for the both of them. It was truly breath-taking.
Due to the military, our wedding was pushed up a few months and we ended up planning and executing the wedding in 2 months flat. Not only did we plan the wedding in 2 months but we also planned it from California with different time zones between NY and CA. It took a lot of good communication with all of our vendors including Gavin who was very accommodating! Amazon Prime was a the holy grail of planning and getting everything in time!
Gavin is amazing! He is so easy to work with and great at communicating throughout the whole process! He was the videographer for my sisters wedding and for our friend, Erin Hamlin’s, wedding and both videos were perfect!
Our favorite part of the day was having a “pre-cocktail” hour at my parents house in Remsen, NY on our way from the church ceremony in Boonville to our reception in Utica, NY. Ou very good friend brought out his accordion and played for us all. The intimate toasts that were given by some of our friends and my parents at the house were the highlight of the day and moments that we will cherish forever. We made sure to take a minute to walk alone throughout my parents property and soak it all in and I am so glad that we did, it allowed us to live in the moment and not let the day get away from us.
Breathe! Everything will work out better than what you plan months for! Don’t sweat the small stuff and have fun planning, it goes by so fast and will be over before you know it!
