Lauren & Cam at The Otesaga Resort and Hotel
October 25, 2017

How did the two of you meet?

Lauren and I have known each other since we were little kids. We grew up together in the same small town, but it wasn’t until later in life that we reconnected through a mutual friend and fell in love.

Lauren and I were vacationing in the Austrian Alps during January of 2016. One night we took a horse drawn carriage ride through the woods to a neighboring town for dinner. As we were entering the darkened woods, Lauren looked back at the town behind us and said, “Wouldn’t it be amazing to spend the rest of our lives here?” When she turned back around I was on one knee in the carriage, holding the ring, and I responded, “Only if I can spend the rest of my life with you.”

Some of our favorite memories are at Lauren’s family lake house, sitting on the porch listening to her family play music. We wanted to capture that feeling of the friends and family, gathering together with the lake in the background, enjoying a beautiful summer night together. When we found the Otesaga Resort in Cooperstown we knew is was the perfect place to bring all of our friends and family together to capture that feeling, and share some of our favorite memories with our favorite people.

Lauren was a rockstar, but Google Docs helped.

Speeches, the ceremony, and dances can only be truly captured in video.

Lauren and I wrote one another letters on our wedding day, and gave each other gifts as well.

Have the wedding you dream of. It is a once in a lifetime experience so don’t hold back or compromise, follow your heart and enjoy it!

The ceremony. You think about so many things while wedding planing, but the moment when you are standing across from the person you love, with all of your closest friends and family to celebrate with you, nothing can top that.

Breathe 😉
