We met at Syracuse University

We were in the Adirondacks for a weekend getaway and he proposed right after we had breakfast, on the porch of our room overlooking the lake and all the foliage

Since we got engaged in the Adirondacks, and it’s just been a happy place for the both of us over the years to explore together we wanted to stick with that theme. And the rustic aspect just seemed natural for us because that’s our style.

I used the knot at first but didn’t through the end. Pretty much ended up doing things the old fashioned way. Both of us were really laid back wedding planners.

Seeing other people’s videos, we just felt like we couldn’t not have our own.

Research the vendors you chose and really read reviews about other people’s experience.

Seeing each other at the church for the first time was amazing. Walking down the isle after the ceremony was complete. Getting ready in the morning with all our friends and family was so fun. The dances everyone did walking into the reception. The speeches. Taking photos out back of Dibble’s with all the trees and leaves. And then just the reception. Seeing everyone, dancing, drinking, cutting the cake! It was all so amazing. Wish we could do it a million times over.

Just researching your vendors. And also realizing there are a lot of ways you can cut cost. Our flowers were a hefty bill and in retrospect we probably could’ve done less. Also just enjoy the process it will come and go so fast. It’s going to be the best day ever.
